I find this book a good read - it's enjoyable fantasy, and one I reread every year or so. But when faced with their own destruction, the two inevitably join the war effort of the night elves in an attempt to save Azeroth so that there can be a future."The Well of Eternity" is clearly meant for fans of Blizzard's epic game, but I think that people unfamiliar with the game would enjoy it as well. Krasus, a dragon who spends much of his time in the guise of a human figure, and Rhonin, a mage of Dalaran, are thrust into the distant past. There's plenty of action, magic, and lore, which is a good combination. Krasus and Rhonin arrive at a time when the Burning Legion is reaching its claws into the world, intent on perverting Azeroth and "cleansing" it of all life. Warcraft, War of the Ancients #1: The Well of Eternity, by Richard A.
The book starts a little slow, setting up the main characters and settings, but quickly picks up pace. Knaak gives enough background information so that someone unfamiliar with the world would quickly gain familiarity; in doing so, he also expands nicely on the lore for Warcraft fans. Knaak"The Well of Eternity" is the first in a trilogy of books based on the bestselling game series World of Warcraft. Krasus and Rhonin run into the classic paradox of time travel - if they mess with the events of the past, will they affect their own future. 4/5. It's a fun and informative read for fans of the game - you see plenty of game characters fleshed out, and by the end of the first book you'll know them better.
There they meet Malfurion Stormrage, the first druid of the night elf race.
It was in pristine condition. i ordered this book and received it right away and Quicker than the seller said.I would buy from this seller again and highly recommend other people to buy from them. I bought this book as a gift for my son.
for all World OF Warcraft players out there. Here's a small spoiler on the book. When i wanted to buy the book, i was a bit disappointed with the fact that it cannot be bought hard cover but i put that aside and thought of the story.
mayor bosses. you get to see illidan from when he was a normal night elf till he became the boss you kill today. In the book, there is the brothers strormrage(illidan and malfurion), tyrande whisperwind, maiev shadowsong and much more.
This book is an amazing start to the trilogy of Warcraft: War of the Ancients. This book shows many of history's famous players and in-game. The 3 books describes his transformation during the story in detail.this is a must-have book for all those book lovers and warcraft lore lovers.
At first i had no idea what was it about, but amazon gives the advantage of reading a few pages from the book to have a sneak peek of the book and i say it was (and still is) marvelous. if you played the game then you must read the book.
Richard A. Who is Rhonin. Reading the first 5 pages will get you hooked. Because you really don't see that much gore in the game. This series will have you hooked and will make you not want to put down the book until it's finished. I am by all means not an "avid" reader but I must say that this is one of the best trilogies I have ever read.
Buy the whole Trilogy. Also you can visit some the characters in game. It also answer questions like: How did Illidan become evil. Read the trilogy and it will answer all of your questions, and to top it off you will have more of a respect to the Warcraft storyline and appreciate the game alot more. I am very suprised to read that Richad A. How did "Deathwing" come to be. The characters are very unique and the way he describes the personality and the relationships between the characters is phenominal. What happened during the first "World War".
I am deployed right now and being a hardcore WoW player, I do not get to play the game out here, so the books very much compensate that. What were the great Dragons or "Aspects" like. You will not be dissapointed. Knaak just delivers from start to finish. Knaak steered in more of a Mature theme with this book, even describing in great detail how someone and/or how something died.
This gives an excellent historical view of how the World of Warcraft evolved over time and how relationships developed, both good and bad. THis book is the first of a trilogy. I highly recommend that if you read this book, you commit to reading the other two.
